Who are we? Who is Fussy Boy?

Our fussy life began around the birth of our firstborn (though we didn’t know it yet) – on a cold and windy September night almost two years ago. Just like any parent, we were head over heels over our new baby boy and man, were we incredibly optimistic about how calm and quiet he was at the hospital.

“Look at this little angel!”
“He is just quietly sleeping in the tiny hospital cot… all by himself!!”
“Oh goodness, we got the calmest baby ever!”

Little did we know…. #surprise #wewillneversleepagain

Fast forward a little bit: yeap, we had a serious case of a high-need baby (also called high maintenance or fussy) on our hands. It took us a while to diagnose it (for the lack of better words – by diagnose I do not claim nor think that high need is something that needs medical diagnosing or intervention), but once we did our life became a lot more manageable (oh don’t be fooled, it didn’t get any easier).

This is how our fussy journey began! To cope as new parents, and parents of a high-need baby (HNB), I started writing short rhyme stories about our everyday life – sometimes funny, sometimes a bit bitter – but hey,  even chocolate comes in bitter form.

And here we are today; few steps away from publishing our first picture book about Fussy Boy.

If you are parenting a HNB (or not sure what you are dealing with), if you are a busy and tired parent in need of some come comic relief that comes out of a mundane routine – join our adventure. Not every baby book has to be a chore for a parent to read for the millionth time!

    1. Hey Nick, do not worry he is just like you. FUSSY but in the end will become a GREAT scientist and a VERY EXTREMELY TIRED Parent. Hope you have a lot of sleepless nights just like me when you became my daughter’s Godfather.

      To finish this, I pray,
that little sh..t (fussy) to say
      ok daddy! yes mommy!
      to everything you say

Wish you all the best in this new start!!!!
